SMIJAR aims to trace a thread of connectivity in the very ontological existence of humans in society and all that goes into the epistemological underpinnings of human life. The multi-disciplinary nature of the journal would allow for an issue/theme to be viewed from the various standpoints afforded by the different disciplines. It is a fact of modern life and academics that water-tight compartmentalization of disciplines can no longer be used to study social and cultural phenomena.

Review Process : All manuscripts are reviewed by an editor or members of the Editorial Board and qualified outside reviewers. Decisions will be made as rapidly as possible, and the journal strives to return reviewers’ comments to authors within 4-6 weeks. The editorial board will re-review manuscripts that are accepted pending revision. It is the goal of the SMIJAR to publish manuscripts within 6 months after submission.
